The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival runs from February 1 to 9, and features three Thai films in competition.In the International Competition is Going Home, about a woman wanting to go home, by Pratchay Lampongchat.
The Labo competition, for experimental films, features Silencio by Sivaroj Kongsakul. A film about a soundman searching in vain for silence, this film was part of the Short Films Project in Commemoration of the Celebration on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary.
Also in the Labo competition is A Voyage of Foreteller by Dutch-trained director Jakrawal Nilthamrong. The plot description in the program is kind of creepy, about a boy forseeing his future, in which he's an old lonely American expat, living in rural Thailand who only wants to have the strength to have one sexual climax.
There are dozens of films in the Panorama section, Tropical Malady: Southeast Asia Focus, featuring films by the likes of Singapore's Royston Tan and Malaysia's James Lee, Amir Muhammad and Tan Chui Mui.
The Thai films in the Panorama section are:

- Space by Sathit Sattarasart
- Graceland by Anocha Suwichakornpong
- Pillow Talk by Araya Suriharn
