The 6th World Film Festival of Bangkok is harnessing the tools of Web 2.0 this year. So far, they have started a blog, have a Twitter feed and a YouTube channel.
It's all part of the festival's DIY (do it yourself) spirit this year, which is perhaps best embodied in its poster, which was designed by a cheeky eight-year-old boy -- Keolif Alif Picharoen -- with help from his father Alif Priyono. It was the winner of a contest to design the festival's poster, which carried at 10,000-baht prize.
The design uses cartoon doodles with speech dialogue inspired by various films. But it's the tagline that is the killer: "No Movies, No Life", and also the speech balloon that says: "I don't like my life so very much, that's why I love movies. I didn't see it. I live it!"
The 6th World Film Festival of Bangkok runs from October 24 to November 2 at Paragon Cineplex.
