One of the best Thai films to come out in the past few years, 2006's 13 Beloved or 13: Game of Death, has been released on DVD in the United Kingdom by Revolver Entertainment.Directed by Chookiat Sakveerakul and adapted from a comic book by Eakasit Thairaat, this taut thriller is the story of a down-on-his-luck salesman, played by the always-intense "Noi" Krissada Sukosol, who is drawn into an insidious and increasingly dangerous and degrading game that promises him 100 million baht.
Revolver has posted the U.K. trailer on YouTube and I think it looks fantastic. It's embedded below.
Lastly, some good news: Chookiat is at work on the sequel, 14 Beyond, due for release sometime next year.
