Five-hour lineup for Love of Siam Director's Cut tickets

There is was a five-hour line for tickets to The Love of Siam Director's Cut yesterday at House cinema in Bangkok, reports Mark Gernpy, the Chiang Mai movie correspondent who was lured to Bangkok by the prospect of seeing a four-hour version of Chukiat Sakweerakul's acclaimed drama film.

"Looks like interest is running very high," says Mark.

There will be a Director's Cut premiere at 6:30 on Thursday night, with the director giving gifts to the first 200 audience members.

Expanded from 2.5 hours, the four-hour Director's Cut will be screened from January 18 to 23 at 7:30pm daily with additional noon matinees on Saturdays and Sundays. The run may be extended if more people want to see it.
