Letter to Uncle Boonmee wins award in Ann Arbor
Apichatpong Weerasethakul's short film A Letter to Uncle Boonmee continues to deliver awards, most recently picking up the Memory and Magic Award at the 48th Ann Arbor Film Festival in Michigan.
The 18-minute video, which pans around the village of Nabua, Nakhom Phanom while three men read a letter to the uncle, was one of six works sharing a $1,200 award in the jury prize category. It screened in a package called Illuminations of the Beyond
AnnArbor.com has the full list of winners.
A Letter to Uncle Boonmee is playing in a few other places, mentioned earlier.
