Indonesian director
Joko Anwar (
The Forbidden Door,
Kala: Dead Time) has created a fun-filled trailer for the 12th edition of the
Udine Far East Film Festival. It keys on the words "exotic", "authentic", "hands-free" and "no safety". I can't embed it here, so
head over to www.MyMovies.it to give it a spin.
The Udine fest will open with the premiere of Pang Ho-cheung's slasher thriller
Dream Home. Pang's cigarette-smoking romance
Love in a Puff recently premiered at the Hong Kong International Film Festival, just before its general release in Hong Kong cinemas last week.
As for Thai films, so far only Alongod Uabhaibool's romance Best Supporting Actor (Yaak Dai Yin Wah Rak Kan, อยากได้ยินว่ารักกัน) has been tipped by Thai websites as part of the Udine lineup. But it was not to be.
But aside from the opening film, about all that's been officially revealed by the festival is plans for a
cosplay contest.
The Udine Far East Film Festival runs from April 23 to May 1.

Seeing the guy on the bike is a reminder that the Elvis Presley movie, "Roustabout", has taken on a life and influence that no one could have anticipated back in 1964.
