Yamada the Samurai of Ayothaya ready to take a slice

This is Ayutthaya!

More bare-chested, yantric-tattooed, sword-wielding warriors are coming our way in Yamada the Samurai of Ayothaya (ซามูไรอโยธยา), a historical action epic that has been in development for awhile.

The fact-based action drama takes place during the early 15th century in Siam, when a samurai warrior named Yamada Nagamasa acquitted himself well in his service to the Ayutthaya court. He was eventually given a lordship and appointed governor of a territory that today is Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand.

Thailand-based Japanese actor Seki Oseki is in the lead role, with Kanokkorn Jaicheun and Sorapong Chatree among the cast. Nopporn Watin directs.

The trailer was leaked on the Internet a few months ago.

It's now due in cinemas on December 2.

  1. WOW!

Thailand are on a different lvl! I hope they don't end up like China, who are currently boasting and always offering the same ingredients in their martial arts movies.

Some of the moves in the movie Tony Jaa used in Ong Bak 2 n 3. I love Ong Bak 2 so much, best thai martial arts movie ever! Tony's Best film!

I can't wait for this movie man! So brutal too!
