Wisit Sasanatieng will join South Korean director Jang Joon-hwan (Save the Green Planet) and Japan's Isao Yukisada (Crying Out Love in the Center of the World) in the Busan Project short-film omnibus. Each of the directors will make a segment about people falling in love in Busan, the host city of the Pusan International Film Festival.
The Thai director's segment "will be a karaoke musical featuring a Thai agent sent to kill someone in Busan, but who ends up falling in love", according to Screen Daily.
Yonhap has a story too, and says Wisit's segment will "be based on time travel".
Either way, it means the director of the in-production Red Eagle, will be keeping busy this year.
Production is set for sometime this winter, shooting for a possible premiere in Cannes or Venice, Screen Daily says.
Update: Twitch says the Thai secret agent will be Iron Pussy. Also a story here.
