Martial-arts star Tony Jaa returned home to Surin on Mother’s Day to pay respects to his mother and take part in his family’s sacred ceremony to the elephant, the Daily Xpress reported in a photo caption on Page 15 today.
In Thailand, Mother's Day is observed annually on August 12, which is also Her Majesty the Queen's birthday. Father's Day is on December 5, which is also His Majesty the King's birthday.
After the visit to Surin, Tony was scheduled to return to filming on Ong-Bak 2, following the troubles and delays with the production.
