Yo, what's up with Ong-Bak 2?

Lots of strands to gather here and there about Ong-Bak 2 around the world.

In France, Wildgrounds says Ong-Bak 2: La Naissance Du Dragon has been cut by 20 minutes and distributor Luc Besson's Europa Corp added a French hip-hop song over the end credits. Those wacky French!

In the U.S., there's a new trailer (embedded below), ahead of the VOD and eventual U.S. theatrical release of Ong-Bak 2: The Beginning. But what version is it going to be? Has Magnolia/Magnet made any cuts? Have they added dubtitles or dumbed-down subtitles like they did with the Swedish vampire movie Let the Right One In? Folks are worried.

Meanwhile, impatient buyers have another option -- the DVD from South Korea. I had thought at one time that English subs were off the table there, but YesAsia has them listed.

There's been the English-friendly Malaysian disc at HK Flix for a few months now, but it appears to be out of stock.
