Teaser posters and a sales blurb for Phobia 2

GTH is at the Cannes Film Market, dishing up their slates of slick bloody horror and ooey-gooey oh-so-good romance, and one of the films they are touting is Phobia 2 -- if that is indeed the actual English title.

Yawn.

A 20-minute segment is scheduled for the market screenings, which I mentioned earlier.

But now a teeny tiny English-language teaser poster has emerged along with a sales blurb, from the GTH website:

The screaming experience from 2008 is about to return again with a portmanteau horror film by the most talented film directors –- Banjong Pisanthanakun (Shutter, Alone, 4Bia – In the Middle), Paween Purijitpanya (Body, 4Bia - Tit for Tat), Songyos Sugmakanan (Dorm), and Parkpoom Wongpoom (Shutter, Alone, 4Bia – Last Fright).

Don’t be surprised if you are addicted to fear.

I forgot that Yongyoot Thongkongtoon, apparently traumatized from his stint as a suspense director for 4Bia - Happiness -- which was really the best segment -- is not returning to the project as a director.

In his place is Dorm and Hormones director Songyos Sugmakanan. Nice.

But I thought there was a "surprise" fifth director, since the Thai title, 5 แพร่ง (Haa Praeng) -- as indicated by the Thai teaser poster -- leads me to believe there are five segments, which I am guessing to be 20 minutes each.

Maybe Yongyoot will come back after all. But I also wouldn't count out another veteran hand in the GTH stable.

Well, we'll all find out eventually.

Haa Praeng will be released in Thai cinemas on the numerologically auspicious date of September 9 (09/09/09).
