Once Upon a Time in Bangkok premieres tomorrow

Taking their inspiration from the city-themed omnibus films Paris je t'aime, New York, I Love You and Tokyo, 17 independent Thai directors have put together Once Upon a Time in Bangkok.

It premieres at 5.30pm on Saturday, April 4 at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center.

The project is produced by Viva Big Fish and the 17 segments are directed by Thanachart Siripatrachai, Sirikarn Thanapaisarnsiri, Chakorn Chaiprecha, Kanchat Rangseekansong, Supawadee Sriputorn, Kanjana Akasin, Attapon Pamakho, Warunya Tungkasmith and Attapol Tararat, Nuthaphan Pintaveekiat, Meathas Sirinavin, Natthachai Jaithita, Pass Pattanakumjon, Patavee Viranuwat, Patzh Eaimtrakul, Wisarut Deelorm, Pongzio Khumwan and Porawis Puangsri.

There's a trailer on YouTube and it's embedded below.

By the way, the premiere conflicts with another indie film event, the 6 Degrees of Separation series at the Thailand Creative and Design Center, which this week features shorts by Jakrawal Nilthamrong.

  1. What's the music on the clip? It's great! Sounds like a Thai group I bought the album of, then lost...

  2. Reply to Lexa

If I'm not wrong, the song in the trailer is taken from Goodnight Electric's album. They are Indonesian band.
